Itinerary

Day 1Arrival and Transfer to Kibale National Park

Upon arrival in Kampala or Entebbe, meet your guide and begin your journey to Kibale National Park. Along the way, enjoy scenic views and a stop for lunch in Fort Portal. Arrive in Kibale, check into your lodge, and unwind as you prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee trekking.

Day 2Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetlands Walk

After breakfast, attend a briefing before heading into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. Spend time observing their behavior and taking photographs. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Wetlands, known for its vibrant birdlife and unique primate species.

Day 3Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive to spot elephants, lions, and antelope. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, home to hippos, crocodiles, and abundant bird species.

Day 4Game Drive and Kyambura Gorge Chimpanzee Tracking

Begin the day with a game drive through Kasenyi plains, known for its lion population. Afterward, visit Kyambura Gorge for an adventurous trek to track chimpanzees. Alternatively, explore Maramagambo Forest to see unique wildlife and caves.

Day 5Lake Katwe Salt Works and Transfer to Bwindi

Discover the traditional salt-mining process at Lake Katwe and interact with the local community. Continue through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions, before arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 6Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Visit

The highlight of your tour begins early with a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. Trek through Bwindi’s dense forest to spend an hour observing a mountain gorilla family. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa pygmies to learn about their rich cultural heritage.

Day 7Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Begin your journey back to Kampala with stops at the Igongo Cultural Centre and the Equator for photos. Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the evening for your departure.
