Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Moshi

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Enjoy an orientation session, gear check, and pre-climb briefing with your guides.

Day 2Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Begin your trek from the Machame Gate (1,800m). Hike through dense rainforests teeming with wildlife, reaching Machame Camp (2,835m) after 6–7 hours of trekking.

Day 3Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Ascend through moorland terrain to Shira Camp (3,839m), with views of the Shira Plateau and Mount Meru. The hike takes about 6 hours.

Day 4Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Trek to Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,950m), enjoying stunning vistas of the Western Breach and glaciers.

Day 5Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

Scale the Barranco Wall and continue through the alpine desert to Barafu Camp (4,645m), your base for the summit attempt.

Day 6Summit Day – Uhuru Peak and Descent

Start the final ascent around midnight. Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa, in time for sunrise. Descend to Millennium Camp (3,820m) for rest.

Day 7Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate

Descend through lush rainforests to Mweka Gate (1,640m), where you’ll receive your summit certificates before heading back to Moshi.

Day 8Rest and Relaxation in Moshi

Enjoy a day of relaxation in Moshi or explore the town. This is also a buffer day for emergencies or delays during the trek.

Day 9 Departure

Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home, leaving with unforgettable memories.
