Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After a brief orientation, embark on a scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, approximately 225 kilometers southwest of Kigali. The journey offers picturesque views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and lush landscapes.
  • Afternoon: En route, enjoy a stopover in Huye (formerly Butare) to visit the Ethnographic Museum, which houses an extensive collection of Rwanda’s cultural artifacts. After the museum visit, proceed to the park and check-in at your selected accommodation.
  • Evening: Settle into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and relax in preparation for the adventures ahead.

Day 2Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

  • Early Morning: After an early breakfast, head to the park’s headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking.
